Application	BNOA as a plant growth regulator with auxin activity, it can be absorbed via root and leaf.  BNOA can promote fruit set, stimulate fruit enlargement and prevent hollow fruits.

Physical property 

Bright white powder solid, melting point 154-156 ºC. Soluble in ethanol and acetic acid. The water solubility of < 5% (25 ºC).The alkali metal salt and ammonium salt soluble in water.

Purpose and function

2 - naphthalene acid can through plant roots, stems and fruit to absorb .Its role is to prolong the residence time of the outdated in plants, stimulate fruit enlargement to prevent the formation of powdered fruit ( the fruit hollow)

Application

1. As a plant growth regulator with auxin activity,  BNOA can be absorbed via root and leaf. It is used as a fruit setting spray on tomatoes, strawberries, capsicums, aubergines, and pineapples;

2. BNOA can promote fruit set, stimulate fruit enlargement and prevent hollow fruits.

3. BNOA can also stimulate root formation when co-used with rooting agent.
