Product Description
Pymetrozine causes pest mortality by starvation, blocking their stylet-feeding behavior. It possesses both contact and systemic activity, capable of bidirectional translocation within a plant's xylem and phloem. It is effective against Homopteran pests-such as aphids, planthoppers, and whiteflies-while demonstrating a high degree of safety toward beneficial insects, such as the seven-spotted ladybug. Suitable for use on crops including vegetables, rice, and cotton, it is included among the recommended pesticides for the control of Southern Rice Black-Streaked Dwarf Virus and may be used in rotation with agents such as cycloxaprid and thiamethoxam.
Scope of Application: Vegetables, wheat, rice, cotton, and fruit trees.
Target Pests: Various pests belonging to the Aphididae, Delphacidae, Aleyrodidae, and Cicadellidae families-including, but not limited to, the cabbage aphid, cotton aphid, wheat aphid, green peach aphid, small green leafhopper, brown planthopper, gray planthopper, white-backed planthopper, sweet potato whitefly, and greenhouse whitefly.
