Methomyl is a broad-spectrum, fast-acting insecticide, mainly used to control a variety of pests, including aphids, cotton bollworms, etc. Methomyl is a carbamate systemic insecticide with dual effects of contact and stomach poison, which can effectively kill the eggs, larvae and adults of pests.
Application:
The specific application scenarios of methomyl include:
Control of cotton bollworm: During the peak period of cotton bollworm egg laying, use 20% EC 100-120 ml/mu, spray with 50-60 liters of water. If there are still more eggs and larvae, spray again after 5 days. Methomyl has a particularly good egg-killing effect on cotton bollworms and is often selected as one of the components of compound preparations for controlling cotton bollworms. Control of cabbage pests: Use 20% EC 80-120 ml/mu, add 40-60 liters of water for spraying. It cannot be harvested and put on the market within 5 days after spraying.
Control of tobacco pests: Use 20% emulsion 120 ml/mu, add 40-60 liters of water and spray, which can control aphids, tobacco budworms, fleas, etc. To control loopers and tobacco budworms, use 24% aqueous solution 160 ml/mu, spray on water. Sprayed tobacco leaves cannot be harvested within 5 days.
Control of fruit tree pests: For example, to control grape moth, apple capsule moth, citrus leafminer, etc., use different concentrations of aqueous solution for spraying.
Other crops: Methomyl is also used to control pests of mulberry, tea, wheat and other crops.
