Usage: Strigolactones is a new plant hormone or its precursor found in recent years. It can restrain the growth of the plant braches and lateral bud. It also controls the number of branches together with auxin and cytokinin. It is highly potent germination stimulants of seeds of the parasitic weeds Striga and Orobanch.
Rac-GR24 belongs to the class of Strigolactones (SL) analogues. It is the latest class of plant growth regulators, which can inhibit the growth of branches and lateral shoots of plants. It works with auxin and cytokinin to control the plant Number of branches. As a carotenoid derivative produced in the roots of plants, unicorninolide can promote the symbiotic effect of plants and soil microorganisms.
