Dinotefuran is an insecticide of the neonicotinoid class developed by Mitsui Chemicals for control of insect pests such as aphids, whiteflies, thrips, leafhoppers, leafminers, sawflies, mole cricket, white grubs, lacebugs, billbugs, beetles, mealybugs, and cockroaches on leafy vegetables, in residential and commercial buildings, and for professional turf management. 

It has excellent control effects on stinging mouthpiece pests and exhibits high insecticidal activity at very low doses. Mainly used for controlling various crops such as wheat, rice, cotton, vegetables, fruit trees, tobacco, etc.
 

Mode of Action
1.Dinotefuran is a quick-kill insecticide discovered by researchers at Mitsui Chemicals.

2.A third generation neonicotinoid, dinotefuran was synthesized with acetycholine as the lead compound, making it different from other flea control products currently in use which are based on nicotine .

3.In addition, dinotefuran does not bind to the same insect receptor sites 

4.in the nerve synapse as imidacloprid and other neonicotinoids. 

5.The binding is permanent causing continuous nerve stimulation and death of the insect.

6.Ingestion is not necessary. 

7.Dinotefuran kills by contact.
